President E. Scott Johnson Esq. is a partner with Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver. He chairs the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and focuses his practice on copyright, trademark, licensing, technology, entertainment and media law. Scott is Chair of the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, and a Councilor on the Maryland State Arts Council. He serves on the boards of the Creative Alliance, CityLit Project and Washington Area Music Association. Before attending law school, Scott was a professional musician and record producer, and he remains a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (GRAMMYS). Baltimore Magazine profiled Scott as one of Baltimore’s top attorneys in 1995 and again in 2003. The Baltimore Business Journal listed him in “Who’s Who in Intellectual Property Law” and he appears in The Best Lawyers in America. Scott was recently named a Fellow by The Maryland Bar Foundation.
